Digital Participation
Digital participation involves using digital tools and platforms to engage people in decision-making. These tools can range in complexity from online surveys and social media consultations to more comprehensive digital platforms specially designed to engage people in participatory processes. The goal is to make participation more accessible and inclusive, which means it’s important to think about whether your community has the access to the internet and the digital literacy needed to effectively engage.
Plan your digital participation program
The digital participation module will guide you in identifying the scope of your program, and provides key questions to help you design your digital participation intervention, evaluate potential tools and platforms, and plan the implementation of your program. Please note that this module only helps you plan the online participation component of your program and not the entire program. Check out the “Build Your Program” page to plan your participatory program from scratch.
